$1.9 billion acquisition of BAC Credomatic by Grupo Aval of Colombia

The formal $1.9 billion acquisition of BAC Credomatic by the Colombian Aval group closes the largest transaction involving a financial company in Central America in recent years.

 

The deal also establishes Aval as a major presence throughout the region from Colombia through to the south of Florida.

 

The new owners have 42 new projects in mind for BAC. They include the integration of the Central American branches in Internet with those of Colombia.
