$150 million boost for Honduras free zones

Three new companies are to set up free-zone (maquiladora) plants that will create 20,000 jobs in northern Honduras.
The new enterprises are scheduled to invest in some $150 million.
Honduras exports $3 million a year in textiles and wire harnesses to the United States, an industry that creates 112,000 jobs.
