2.6 million tourists visited Costa Rica last year

Tourists that visited Costa Rica during 2016 spent on average $1,369 and the total amount of visitors that year according to the Costa Rican Tourism Board was of over 2.6 million.

For 2016 the total number of visitors considering all international arrivals through all access points was of 2.9 million out of which 1.5 million corresponded to visitors from North America.
