About 1,400 Indianapolis jobs heading to Mexico

Carrier is shuttering its manufacturing facility on Indianapolis' west side and moving its operation to Mexico, eliminating about 1,400 jobs during the next three years.
The heating, ventilating and air-conditioning manufacturer announced Wednesday that it would begin eliminating its Indianapolis workforce in 2017 and continue the layoffs through 2019.
