Alstom takes a $270 million slice of Panama’s Metro

Friday, January 21, 2011

France-based Alstom is to build 57 rail cars for the first line of Panama City’s Metro.

In December, the Linea Uno consortium won the tender to build the Metro. Brazil’s Odebrecht leads the consortium; the other member is Spain’s FCC.

Alstom is a sub-contractor, hired for $270 million to take care of rolling stock and infrastructure.
