Alvarado creates thousands of jobs for Costa Rican bureaucrats

In almost two years of his administration, the Costa Rican president Carlos Alvarado has allowed the creation of 37,000 jobs in the public sector, according to the national statistics institute.

The bad news is that this is happening when the fiscal deficit closed last year at 6.9 percent, the highest figure reported in the last four decades, La República reports in Spanish.
