Alvarado faces icy bath of economic problems in Costa Rica

Wednesday, May 2, 2018

Carlos Alvarado will take over the presidency of Costa Rica on May 8 amid the worst economic context since the 2009 crisis and the greatest fiscal difficulties faced by the government for the last 30 years.

Other presidents took power among economic problems that were facing the country but none were as severe as those faced by Alvarado.
