América Móvil has 2018 investment budget of $8 billion

Daniel Hajj, chief executive of América Móvil, reviewing the company's fourth-quarter results, admitted that there were heavy losses and a drop in sales. But he emphasized that the company's cash flow, a key indicator, is very healthy, particularly in Mexico.

For this year, Hajj said the company aims to invest $8 billion in investing mobile infrastructure in Brazil and Argentina, as well as extending coverage in Mexico.
