Apparel maker Hanesbrands funds initiatives to boost quality of life in El Salvador

US apparel maker Hanesbrands announced that it is financing several initiatives to improve the quality of life in El Salvador, where it operates six plants.

The company recently renovated an ambulance, provided 100 fuel-efficient stoves and is financing education programs for at-risk youth.

Hanesbrands has conducted operations in El Salvador for nearly 20 years and currently provides more than 9,000 jobs in the country.
