Ascot Mining raises $5.9 million to buy Chassoul gold mine in Costa Rica
British gold miner Ascot Mining has raised $5.9 million and will use most of it to complete the acquisition of the Chassoul gold mine in Costa Rica.
The company said it will now have the means to accelerate gold production to an initial 1,200 ounces per month and to explore further opportunities.
Ascot believes it is in a strong position to consolidate its role as the leading gold producer in Costa Rica.
