Ascot Mining says legal proceedings against Auro Marga continue in Costa Rica. Dispute over La Toyota gold project

Listed gold mining company Ascot Mining rejected reports that its legal claims against its proposed joint venture partner in Costa Rica, Nestor Chamorro, have been rejected.

Ascot’s Costa Rican operating subsidiary Veritas Resources has previously initiated legal action against Chamorro, the controlling shareholder of Ascot’s proposed joint venture partner at the La Toyota gold project in Costa Rica Auro Marga, which owns La Toyota.

Chamorro has been accused personally and as a legal representative of Inversiones Grupo Minero and Auro Marga of illegal termination of contract, misappropriation and undue retention.
