Audi sees record sales in Mexico this year

German car maker Audi forecasts sales of up to 10,000 units in Mexico by the end of the year, an unprecedented number, said Walter Hanek, director of Audi de México.

Mexico continues to be a strong potential market for the company and is currently number 20 in the firm's global sales.

For six years the company has analyzed the possibility of introducing a sedan model in Mexico, after seeing successful sales of its A3 Sportback, said product manager Sergio Carvajal.
