Auto sales in Guatemala surge by 21 percent in quarter
Sales of new autos in Guatemala increased in the first quarter by 21 percent, compared with the same period of last year.
According to distributors, 1,425 vehicles were sold in the quarter, compared with 945 in the 2010 period.
According to the figures, Toyota is top of the sales, despite the Japanese company’s problems with supplies following the earthquake. It sold 1,311 vehicles in the quarter.
