Avianca aims to boost flights to Nicaragua

Colombia's Avianca airline announced an alliance with two major Nicaraguan tourism agencies, Horizontes Tour & Travel and Mundoventura.

The aim of the alliance is to boost tourism to the Central American country, said Tomasa de Ramírez, Avianca's sales manager for Nicaragua and Honduras.

The airline aims to increase flights to the country and hopes to surpass last year's growth of up to 25 percent, said Ramírez.
