Backing for Alvarado plummets in Costa Rican poll

The disappointing rating of the Costa Rica president, Carlos Alvarado in the most recent CID Gallup poll is likely to improve only if the nation's economy returns to growth.

Two thirds of the population disapproves of the president's management of the country but a boost for jobs and the economy could create a resurgence of optimism, analysts say, La República reports in Spanish.
