Bananas are leading export earner for Honduras amid forecast of $350 million

Honduras is expected to earn between $330 and $350 million from banana exports this year.

The forecast is based on increased volumes from the US and European markets, where demand is growing sharply.

Bananas are the second leading export of Honduras, beaten only by coffee.
