Bancrédito needs to be absorbed to protect Costa Rican savers

Costa Rica’s troubled Bancrédito and its savers could best be saved by absortion of another state bank.

Such a measure would be almost sure to mean reductions in the number of employees. Some of the people who lose their jobs could probably be placed elsewhere in the state’s financial apparatus.
