Bank of Guatemala: Remittances up 9 percent

Remittances to Guatemala from the United States grew 9 percent in the first nine months of the year, compared with the same period in 2013, the Bank of Guatemala said.

From January to September this year, Guatemala received $4.14 billion in remittances.

Last year, the Central American nation received a record $5.1 billion.
