Banks scramble for Citi’s consumer portfolio

Citigroup has launched talks with members of the international banking community with a view tok selling its consumer credit portfolio in Central America.

Grupo Aval, one of Colombia’s biggest financial groups and a major player in Central America, has already shown interest in Citi’s slice the consumer credit market in Nicaragua.
