Belize and El Salvador in talks on partial trade accord
The Ministry of Foreign Trade in Belize is in the first round of negotiations with its counterparts from El Salvador as part of the process to ink a partial scope agreement.
The negotiations will address issues such as market access for agricultural goods and products, investments, cooperation, legal and Institutional arrangements.
According to the chief executive officer in the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Mike Singh, the agreement is expected to create export opportunities for industry and contribute to overall economic growth through promoting trade, foreign direct investment, employment and revenue generation.
