Monday, February 18, 2013

Benedict XVI welcomed Guatemalan President Otto Pérez Molina, the last official visit of his pontificate by another head of state.

During the audience, the two leaders addressed several key topics including the war on drugs, and the importance of dialogue with neighboring countries to come up with a solution together.

Other topics included immigration, the role of the Church in Guatemalan society, and, of course, the Pope's decision to resign.
