Big Guatemala project is on track, says Tahoe
The $350 million El Escobal mine project of Canada's Tahoe Resources in Guatemala is on schedule, the company says.
Tahoe has been working on the project for four years and expects the mine to come on stream in 2014. A projected change in Guatemala's mining law is not going to affect it, the company says.
El Escobal is regarded as one of Central America's most important silver deposits.
