Big highway project aims to ease Costa Rica traffic

Work on Circunvalación Norte, an urban thruway, aims to reduce the notorious traffic jams of San José, the Costa Rican capital. The long-awaited project carries a tab of $150 million and work is to begin within weeks.

Completion of the project is slated for 18 months, but some property owners have not yet released their homes to the builders.
