Big international firms seek $5 billion damages in Colombia

After years of squabbles with state bodies, major companies are seeking a total of $5 billion in damages from Colombia.

The companies involved are the miners Glencore, Eco Oro, Red Eagle, Galway Mining, as well as Gas Natural Fenosa. All are seeking arbitration in their disputes.
