Big jump in European tourism from Central America

Central America received 16 percent more European tourists during 2012, compared to 2011.
The figure represents some 832,500 visitors, compared to the 717,700 tourists who visited in 2011.
Costa Rica was the favorite destination, receiving 248,800 of the total, while Guatemala reported the most growth with 24 percent more tourists.
