Blue Cross Blue Shield arrives to Costa Rica

Blue Cross & Blue Shield, the largest life and health insurance policy provider in the U.S., will begin operations in Costa Rica.

The franchise in the Central American country will be operated by Puerto Rico's Triple-S Vida, who last year acquired Atlantic Southern Insurance, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The operations in Costa Rica will create 950 jobs in 25 offices.
