Business confidence in Costa Rica drops 4 percent

Business confidence in Costa Rica dropped 4 percent, according to the latest Business Confidence Index by the Costa Rican private sector chamber.

The population in general is concerned about a loss in purchasing power, interest rate, exchange rates and fuel prices.

However, there is more optimism about the future as the country has yet to go to a second round of votes to choose a new president, according to a consumer confidence index by the University of Costa Rica.
