Businesses get ready to welcome Cupid in Costa Rica

Businesses in Costa Rica are getting ready to welcome Cupid for next week Valentine’s Day with a barrage of special offers and seasonal menus.

Most firms are expecting an increase in sales of between 5 and 7 percent. Such traditional  gifts as chocolates, flowers and cuddly toys appear to be on the wane. Clothes and houshold appliances are more current expressions of love and affection.
