CAF completes $500 million to help Panama metro

The Latin American development bank known as CAF has added $100 million to its financing of the construction of Panama's Metro transport system.

This brings CAF's financial help for the Metro up to $500 million, and makes it the largest external contributor to the project.

The Metro is currently 65 percent complete, and should be ready by the first three months of next year, said Roberto Roy, Minister of Canal Affairs.
