Cafta boosts exports from Honduras by $600 million over five years of accord

Five years on from the implementation of the Cafta free trade agreement with the United States, Honduras has increased its exports to the US by $600 million.

Last year, Honduras exported $3.9 billion to the United States. However, there was an $800 million dip in 2009.

In 2005, exports from Honduras to the US reached $3.3 billion.
