Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Canada announced that it has launched talks with Costa Rica in order to amplify the existing free trade accord between the two countries.

The 2002 treaty mainly covers goods, but the Canadian authorities are interested in adding services such as government contracts and electronic commerce.

Last year, Costa Rica was Canada’s leading trading partner in Central America.
