Canada's Gildan to expand in Central America

Canada’s Gildan Activewear is finalizing plans to build a new textile plant in Central America.
The Montreal-based company said it plans to spend as much as $350 million on a series of projects in the Americas.
Other projects include building a distribution centre and modernizing already existing plants in Honduras, as well as a new sewing facility in the Dominican Republic.
