Canadian cattle producers happy with renewal of trade agreement with Costa Rica that will now include beef

\ \ Recent trade agreements will give Alberta farmers and ranchers better access to foreign customers, while Canada continues to negotiate other bilateral deals that could add further marketing advantages.\ \ In the past month a Canada-Colombia free trade agreement came into affect, while Canada has reopened a deal with Costa Rica, and Vietnam announced it is now accepting live breeding animals.\ \ Cattle producers are pleased that the Canadian government is reopening its 2002 agreement with Costa Rica, which excluded beef.\ \ Original source: Calgary Herald\ \
