Caracas talks on nearly $1 billion due to Panama

Talks begin in Caracas on the debts that Venezuelan companies owe to their counterparts in Panama.

Firms in Panama’s free zones say they are owed $530 million by the Venezuelans. But the debts could add up to close on $1 billion if the money due to Copa Airlines is included.
