Carlos Slim is the year's biggest billionaire loser

Carlos Slim is, by a wide margin, the year’s biggest billionaire loser, Forbes data shows. Between January 1 and December 8, the Mexican telecom mogul’s fortune fell $15.9 billion, a drop of 22 percent.

Slim was the world’s second richest man on Forbes’ 2015 list of The World’s Billionaires released in March. But as of Tuesday’s market close, his net worth had plunged to $55.2 billion, a decline of $21.9 billion since March.
