Casinos in Panama raked in $1.6 billion in a decade

Since casinos were privatized in Panama in 1997, the business of blackjack, roulette and slot machines has grown rapidly.
Total betting stakes between 2000 and last year came to $6.56 billion.
In addition, the gross profits of the casinos came to more than $1.64 billion over the decade.
