Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Caterpillar, the world’s leading construction and mining equipment, has launched work on its training and demonstration center at the Panama-Pacific special economic area, the former Howard US base.

Completion of the project is due in the first quarter of next year.

The amount of the investment has yet to be defined, but the 100- hectare site itself cost $60 million.

Once the center is on stream, Caterpillar expects to welcome 12,000 visitors a year.
