Cellphone users in Costa Rica shrink from number portability

Since 2013, cellphone users in Costa Rica have been able to switch carriers while staying with the same number. But no many have done so.

Number portability is not a priority for the nation’s cellphone users. Many of them cite their own apathy and the red tape involved as discentives to switch to alternative service providers.
