Cementos Progreso plan will be biggest in region

The new San Gabriel plant of Cementos Progreso in Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, is soon to be ramping up for production.

The project was launched in 2008 and construction began last year. By the end of this year, it should be operational. Investment is calculated at $500 million.

Progreso says that the plant will be the largest in Central America, Prensa Libre reports in Spanish.
