Cemex sales grow in Latin America

Mexico's Cemex, one of the world's largest cement producers, said its sales in Latin America grew 2 percent in the second quater this year, compared to the same period last year.

The figure represents sales worth $441 million, and were boosted by a growth in the Colombian market, the company added.

Sales in Colombia grew 9 percent in the period to $260 million, and is the fifth consecutive quarter to show growth in that country.
