Central America achieves dream … thanks to Europe

Central America is one step closer to unifying its customs and ports, with the signing of the association agreement with the European Union this week.

The agreement is helping us toward this unification we have been talking about for the last 50 years, said Honduran Economy minister, Sergio de la Torre.

The accord includes mutual commitments in politics, cooperation and the creation of a free trade zone.
