Central America aims to unify range of individual trade treaties with Mexico

Thursday, July 29, 2010

Negotiators from Central America are having talks in El Salvador with the trade treaties they have with Mexico.

They are also hoping to resume talks with Canada that were suspended by Canada’s refusal to accept conditions on farm products.

Costa Rica, Nicaragua and the Northern Triangle (Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador) have free trade accords with Mexico and the plan is to unify them.
