Central America drew 10 percent more tourists
Central America proved a popular choice among international travelers last year, new figures suggest. More than 7.14 million foreign tourists visited Central America in the first 10 months of 2010, some 9.8 percent more than in the same period in the previous year.
According to the Central America Tourism Agency, the region is becoming increasingly popular among people seeking multiple experiences, such as beach breaks combined with watersports and wildlife tours.
