Central America-Europe accord begins in August

The association accord between Central America and Europe will come into effect on August 1 this year, the European Commission stated.

The countries that fail to ratify the accord by July 15 will have to wait until next year.

So far, Nicaragua, Honduras and Panama have finished their legal procedures, while Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala are still in legal process.
