Central America is Latin economic star

Central America is the only sub-region of Latin America whose economy is growing, according to the most recent estimates for 2016 of the UN’s Economic Commission for Latin America.

While South America faces negative growth this year, Central America is expecting an increase of an average 3.8 percent in its economies, boosted by domestic demand, remittances and low oil prices.
