Central America switches on for regional market

Central America will by November have a regulatory mechanism for transactions in the region’s electricity market.

“The national and regional electricity markets will be fully integrated,” said René González, the head of the new regulator.

Investors will find new opportunities because they are no longer confined to the limits of one country, González said.
