Central American bank conference promotes more projects in renewable energy

Some 65 percent of all the power in Central America was generated by renewable sources last year.

The trend is supported by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, which it is sponsoring a two-day event on renewable energy in Guatemala.

However, given the expected growth in the region and demand for energy, the bank stressed the importance of promoting new initiatives.
