Central American Bank lends $280 million for poverty-relief programs in Honduras

The Central American Bank of Economic Integration announced a $280 million loan to the government of Honduras. The loan aims to support fiscal stability and the relief of poverty.

The bank said that them loan will be earmarked for the government’s Multi-sectoral Emergency Program for Fiscal Reform and Social Equity.

The resources will also be used to a range of social programs that include basic medicines, medical services, and school milk plans for poor children.
