Friday, April 27, 2012

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration, or BCIE, paid out $1.6 billion in economic and social development for the region during 2011.

About 71 percent of that money went to the energy and production sectors.

The bank's money indirectly helped about 7,000 small companies, as well as going toward the construction and improvement of some 455 kilometers of roads throughout the region.
