Central American countries and the Dominican Republic ended the ban imposed on catch lobster in the Caribbean. The fishing ban had been imposed four months ago on March 1 in order to protect reproduction.
The Organization of the Fisheries Sector of Central America reported that after the end of the closure, on July 1 the new fishing season, which may involve both artisanal and industrial fishermen, started.
